I noticed a big difference between highs school and uni. in HS people shoved like mad but in Uni people actually hold the door! that surprised me a little

Give them a dirty look, or say something like "Ouch! Be careful!" Anything more will just escalate the matter. Of course, if you think they're doing it deliberately, you can report it.
In response to your additional details, could it be that those who shove aren't the kind of people who go on to higher education?

well if it happens a lot then what i do is shove them back and act all tuff like but if that don't work and you know if there's a problem find the problem solve it and if that still doesn't work tell some one or even ask them to stop your self!!

I'm in a Med tech class so we all walk in a pack...
story time...
A week or so ago some Jock went to walk through us and as he pushed his way through our group he hit my friends report out of her hand where it fell to the ground and people stepped on it and it got torn...
lets just say he is still looking for some of his belongings

If someone hits or pushes you intentionally, you have every right to defend yourself. If you are being bullied, kick the ever loving sh*t out of the pusher next time they push you. You'll earn respect and people will be talking about it for years to come.

Shove them back, elbow them...trip them..u name it, I do it. I live in NYC and take the subway everyday...I am constantly being shoved and it doesn't help that I'm 5'1", but like I said before...you shove me, you getting shoved back.

I get Chucky, Freddy, Malco and Wolf Guy and we ...well...we shove them around after school behind the hall...works a treat...

Pretend to fall down and be seriously injured. Someone will help you to the principal's office or nurses' station, and the bullies will look like total buttwipes.
