Mainly because the people are tired of clowns like him.
We all know corruption is deeply rooted. It will take years...generations, even,... before it is eradicated, if at all. But using force is plainly suicide.
Who is he to think he can change everything? ...pure and simple stupidity... or...just personal agenda?
I would say both. He allowed himself to be used as a puppet...and, yes, he just wants an easy way out. What a coward! Why can't he just face the consequences of his actions? Why hide behind the skirt of a "coupd'etat"?
He is still too idealistic to realize that you can not fight corruption head on. You have to tackle it one area at a time.
How?
As a Filipino, we can all make a difference by doing our share of being good citizens in our own sphere of influence. Stop being corrupt, stop being corrupted.
i.e. do not tolerate "kutong", pay your tax honestly, do your share of community service, etc. , etc.
We have a lot to do...each and every one of us...in our own little way...no guns, no tanks, no publicities required!
Don't you agree?

What's Trillanos' plan? He just didn't want to get arrested, so he called out like he's Moses or the Cardinal. He doesn't have that right. He has no interest in the people other than stay off the police. The problems with the rebels is, even if you gave them what they wanted, they can't function. They are right to call for change, and they are right to quesiton the leaders of our nation, but they are wrong to use brutality, force, and intimidation to express their views. Further, while anyone can say something is broke, only a few can fix it.
I'm not about to go running into my streets. What can I do, burn down my house? Kill the cop who protects my family? Destroy the buses and trains that take me home and to work? Sure the govt has problems but we have to work this out civilly, and I don't think hacking up people into parts, or blowing up the malls or Senate will help.

even though i'm still young , i am aware of what is happening.. but then i guess i'm afraid of death. i know very well what he is planning to do and maybe, what his fighting for. the reason why people didn't support them was because of fear i guess... and if you asked me why i didn't join him was because.
1. i'm not from maynila... so i would have to travel and i am still young as so i don't have the money for the trip.. it's true.
2.i know that he is trying to make arroyo step down because he thinks that she is............. you know.......... but then i think that even though the philippines is just a small country it has many people... and all of us are different.. we have different thoughts and ideas , and likes and dislikes.. so who ever sits in the malacanang doesn't really matter.. we would never have peace and unity... because if trillanes would be the one to sit down, then those who support arroyo would rebel.. so you see..i wouldn't care anymore who sits, because judging and observing from what is happening now, it's hard to find someone that all people would agree on.
3. i believe that who ever sits on the 'throne' will only do the same. sure i think, that today the governement is so...... and i want a leader who would think for the best for his country and would do everything for his country... trillanes maybe a good guy but once he will sits down, i think he would become somewhat like arroyo.. come on.. we are only humans to not give into temptetion of money.. i know you would say that you will not do this and that but once it's sitting in front of you, it's hard to resist.. i don't trust the goverment anymore, though i still follow them.. we can't do anything about that..

Because we the people saw right through him.He is only trying to save his own hide by attempting to launch a power grab.Trillanes stands only for himself and not for the people. It only shows the utter lack of his principles.

I guess majority of the people are fed up with all the bickerings and the fightings in the government. And all it boils down to is nil - nothing good is gained from all that.

Because the Filipino people are so damn sick and tired of Messiah-wannabees like Trillianes and his equally dumb drinking buddies.
Grabs a couple of men with automatic weapons, hold a luxury hotel hostage and blurt out meaningless cliches about freedom, morals and duty... pathetic.
