And will it matter next November?
It bothered me that most of the candidates could not keep their answers within the time allowed. It's like a direct correlation that they can't limit their spending if they can't limit their verbosity.

I love Ron Paul, but he did not come off very well last night. Really, I think that the "winner" last night had to be a toss up between Rudy "Il Duce" Giuliani and Mike "Huck Finn" Huckabee.
Huckabee came off as intelligent, principled and good humored. Intelligent, principled and articulate would be a welcome change in the Oval Office, for sure.
Giuliani came off as his typical bombastic, aggressive, authoritative (and authoritarian) self. The thing is, I lived in Giuliani's New York City and as much as I call him a fascist (and he is one), I have to also admit that New York was an awesome place to live when he was running the show.
Still, I wouldn't vote for any of them except Ron Paul.

The Democrats.
Whenever I see one of these things, I can't help thinking /anyone/ would be better than these guys. Then I see a debate for the other party, and think the same thing.
No, it won't matter. The parties pick the nominees, and the rest of us just hold our noses and vote for the lesser evil.

Huckabee- which isn't saying much because he always makes a good first impression and then falls apart later.
