Yep , I got over 1300 - ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED - abusive emails from 3 users in less than 24 hours . Far too vulgar to post a copy of any of them here .. . . . although I'd like to .

Anyways I got several responses from Customer Care(or whatever they're called) and they said they were concerned and took 'Appropriate Action' . But that's a lie too cause I got 300 more this morning from 2 of the guys who I had Blocked !!

These sick individuals are 'deCONstruction' , 'Justgoodfolk' , and 'Count Acumen' . .. . . just in case you get attacked by them I thought you should know they've done it many times before .

So what is the Punishment for such acts ?

Is there a better way to report this behavior to make it stop ?

Why give your email - that's just asking for trouble. You could always just publish their emails here though

"So what is the Punishment for such acts ?" - Depends on by who:
1. Yahoo can delete the account. However the user can create a new account. Since IP addresses are normally a shared resource IP blocking does not work.
2. By the state or feds - Big variable here. need to start by contacting the police. Depends on exactly what the e-mail said.

1300 lashes!

These characters have long been trouble and have been on my blocked list for some time. There are some people who just aren't worthy of communication.

Sorry to hear that, Earnest.

They should be kicked off of here permanently. Nuff said....

EDIT: Justgoodfolk has been accused of this before and as a top contributor should be out of here!

phone home
they got to another friend on the liberal side as well
Not sure about the internet harassment laws but believe
some of this is illegal, but may depend on content not volume.
Yahoo needs to address it yet they just don't have a handle on
real issues we deal with. Stinks my friend. Truth got whacked after he was attacked and wrote about it. Take good care.

No punishment really, they can delete a 360 or answers account for it,but they will just make a new one. Think about the vulgar black cat and his actions.

What a bunch of losers. No, mass emailing is not a crime, there's no real punishment that can be given. I suppose whatever email service could cancel their accounts, but that's it. If they did it repeatedly you might be able to make a case for harassment. If I were you, I would forward all of them back to them, twice.

There are laws regarding Internet harassment.

I heard about them after the story broke about that 13 year old girl who hung herself because someone posing as a boy she liked was being cruel over the internet. Not sure what they are, but they exist.

Yes set your spam filter to block all addresses that you mark as sending spam. That will stem the tide as will having a private email you allow only certain people to access.

There is now a law in effect against internet harrassment.I think this would qualify.Call a lawyer and sue, take their money, that should be punishment enough.

Gee whatta mess.I dont know what they said and what the punishment would be but I got the worst crap ever from Wayne Johnson aka "Shiraz". He was busted for illegal activity on the 'net and hence not on here altogether.
