No one knows *for fact*. People believe certain things about after you die, of Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, into nothingness, or even being reincarnated, but *no one* is sure. Where do I believe we go? I'm a Christian, so either Heaven or Hell...

*HUG*

It's alright. You needn't worry too much about the possibility off dying unless you have a legitimate, present danger or circumstance which inevitably precedes the event. If not, take a deep breath and let it out slowly- repeat, then get out into some fresh air. The chances that an anvil will fall from the sky and demolish you (while present) are abysmal and unworthy of you.

If, however, you find yourself in the unique position of expecting death as a certainty, I have slightly different advice.

Probably you feel frightened that you will cease to exist as a person, as yourself. This is a falsehood. We (everyone, of every culture and religion) are eternal sons and daughters of a Father who loves us, who sent us to this world to grow and learn. He misses us and wants us to come back home when we've finished our time here, and home we will go; as ourselves, and ready to be with our Heavenly Father once more. Perhaps you made some mistakes- it'll be alright. Could any loving father, anxious to help and teach his children, reject or disown even one because of a bad decision? You are precious- and He can't stand to lose you.

Do not fear what comes to everyone, because there is a place prepared for you when it happens.

Ok- now, big smile! Go do something fun.

Dear heart,
Life is, essentially, consciousness. One's SELF, or SOUL or PSYCHE (Yep, translated from the Greek) is, essentially, CONSCIOUSNESS. Every night when you go to sleep you lose consciousness. When you die, you lose consciousness. It no longer exists. One does not know one is dead.

You are not the only one who fears death. Most do. Thats why people have invented an "afterlife". People, kings and priests, wanting to manipulate people by use of their fear of death have invented heaven and hell. Granted, it has often been with the best intentions, say of civilizing otherwise pretty savage, self-centered behaviors, but still, whether consciously, half-consciously or unconsciously , it was invented.

Don't be afraid. Fear is "the devil" himself, itself. Meditate on the declaration of the Christ in the Gospel According to Thomas (yep, that's the one that the orthodox does everything they can to suppress) when he said, "...The dead are not alive and the living shall not die." The other fella who said don't worry about it, live your life, is spot-on! Don't be afraid.

(But to have life more abundantly, live ethically, doing unto others only what you'd have them do unto you...)

P.S.: Consider Immanence, and Transcendence. Consider how the Hebrew God identified himself to Moses when asked by what authority would he demand the pharoah let his people go.

If properly mined, myth yields up its gems. Improperly mined, it collapses on the miner and smothers them in darkness and the whole burden of the earth.

My view if that you will continue to exist in the thoughts of the ones you touched during your journey through life.

During the short time that you are a living, breathing organism, you are as small as a grain of sand on the beach and as large as the cosmos.

You are the universe and will continue to always be.

I'm not afraid of dying, actually, I can't wait for me to die. I can't wait to leave this place. I imagine death to be like turning off a t.v. or something. We just.....don't exist anymore.....you know what I mean.

Depends on who you ask... in my opinion.. believe whatever makes you feel comfortable on that subject. But the thing is.. death is the one thing we all share in this life.. so don't worry about it because it will come when it is ready for you.. instead focus on making your life as good as it can be before it finds you.. that way you can leave with no regrets.

Fear is a monster inside your mind. But don;t take my word for it. Examine fear. Examine your fears.

How do you know you "have" a soul? To find out the truth about everything you have to forget everything you have learned. Start from scratch. Don't take anyone's word for it. Find out for yourself.

I AM NOT AFRAID OF DYING....I AM AFRAID OF HOW I WILL DIE. I FEEL YOUR SOUL LEAVES IMMEDIATELY YOUR BODY AND STARTS ITS WAY TO HEAVEN TO BE WITH THE LORD AND ALL YOUR LOVED ONES.

If they are servants of the Lord Jesus they go to heaven. There is another place for those who reject the Lord.
