ME!!! I could. My friends and I loved that song, well, we were kinda embarrassed to be listening to it, but we could sing every word.
Yes...we really could. No cheating, no asking...we just figured it out. And this was before the myriad of lyrics websites appeared on the internet.

When it was on the radio all of the time, I ended up getting the CD. I could do pretty well before that, but only after reading the lyrics (come on, who could REALLY understand EVERY word) could I sing it perfectly. Now, it's all dust in the wind....:o)

I use to know all the words to both songs, at least I think on the barenaked ladies you could just mumble and nobody could tell during the fast parts lol

I bet I still could if I tried. I remember sitting with that cd in my friends room listening to it on repeat trying to learn the words to that stupid song haha.

i have that CD and me and my mom know all the words to it. you get tongue-tied once in a while though lolz =]
gonna get a set of better clubs gonna find the kind with tiny nubs just so my irons aren't always flying off the back swing. gonna get in tune with sailor moon cuz that cartoon has got the BOOM anime babes to make me think the wrong things. lol

I couldn't. My dad can't either, though he would love to because it's one of his favorite songs.
It's funny, too. I also like the "Weird Al" parody version.
I could never memorize song lyrics to songs because I am partially deaf and can barely hear most of the words.
