Stud length or actual 8'-0" long? Be careful when you buy this lumber you get what you are looking for. The price above sounds right.

In my area a 2x4x8', #2 white pine, costs around $3.50. If you're looking for studs, cut to 94 1/2", they're a little less, sometimes $2.75 or so.

SPF #2 and better about $2.50 - $3.00 each

SPF = Spruce Pine Fir

Same size piece of Maple about $15.00
