Is it so the young can get a head start on believing in false beings so they can prepare to live out their lives like these people?

"The people in the picture obviously strongly believe in whatever it is they're protesting about, just as you believe that what they're doing is wrong. (i assume you think its wrong)."
I do believe what they do is wrong.....yet I, liberal, "hate the troops". These people obviously don't though, right Neo-Con's?

Well any school and parent would teach their child that santa is a nick name for st nicholas. He was a normal man who gave money to the poor. He was given a saint hood and the father christmas ans santa claus thing spouted from that.
His name "santa claus" came from the dutch word "Sinterklaas" Nicholas was a Christian leader from Myra (in modern-day Turkey) in the 4th century AD. He was very shy, and wanted to give money to poor people without them knowing about it.
It is said that one day, he climbed the roof of a house and dropped a purse of money down the chimney. It landed in the stocking which a girl had put to dry by the fire! This may explain the belief that Father Christmas comes down the chimney and places gifts in children's stockings.
We are not setting our children up tobecome bad people just by letting them believe in something or someone as a child.
Im sure you once believed in father christmas, way back further than you can remember, yet i doubt you ahve turned outlike those people.. have you?? I certainly have not.
Also, just becasue you believ e something isnt true and that its false, it doesnt mean someone else wont believe it to be true and correct. The people in the picture obviously strongly believe in whatever it is they're protesting about, just as you believe that what they're doing is wrong. (i assume you think its wrong).

There as quickly as as quickly as a guy named Nick, and he became right into a saint. Saint Nicholas. He became into adept at making toys, and in a village close to via, the households did no longer have the money to purchase toys, so Saint Nick made toys for the infants along with his very own hands each 12 months on Christmas, and further them for my area. it rather is ( i think of) a real tale, or a minimal of a legend, and it developed into the famous-day Santa Clause. The legend, if i bear in mind good,is incredibly previous, and that i think of its actual yet yeah, thats why Santa Clause is likewise referred to as Saint Nick. :) this is all consistent with a brilliant extreme-high quality guy who gave out loose stuff, and that i think of, think of that on account that he became right into a "saint" meaning he celebrated christmas for non secular motives, and probable in no way thought that he might sometime almost replace jesus with the aid of fact the rationalization to rejoice christmas. now you comprehend.

The origin of Santa dates back to a 4th century bishop, who became a Saint. Nicholas of Myra was famous for his generousity and gift giving. So St. Nick was the origin in folklore of Dutch and German cultures about a jolly old St. who would visit at the holiest time and bring gifts to young children. Other cultures develope similar traditions. I don't imagine a St. would be very interested in politics though.

You're not old enough to be that cynical. Come back in 25 years and ask, once you've been divorced three times, had a kidney removed, lost the best job you ever had, and had to declare personal bankruptcy. You'll pray that there's a Santa Claus.
Seriously, don't TRANSFER your bitterness onto innocent children. It's as bad as child exploitation.

Santa was created so that Americans would spend more money at Christmas buying our kids not just our gifts but Santa's to. Seems to work rather well.

Myths are part of our culture - it is up to parents how much falsehood they want their children to learn.
