i have looked for similar questions...no luck,
so, i have an almost 8 month old daughter, who has yet to pop her first tooth. it seems as though she may be getting ready. cranky, not sleeping well etc... but, as i as reading some info. it says that she may get a fever, diarrhea, push food away.
all that it seems shes doing is pooping ALOT. 4 out of 5 diapers. at least. its soft, but not diarrhea. could this be a symptom as well? i have not changed her diet, and i dont want to jump to anything, she seems fine, getting a pink butt, im using butt balm.
anyway, a bit long, for a short qustion. but thanks for any info...

most babies get cranky when teething, the fever can come with it but, a lot of drooling or chewing on fingers/clothes/bib/burping cloth. they tend to eat/drink less as well as the diaper rash may appear worse than normal. Their gums get really pink and as the tooth is getting ready to break thru the skin you'll notice the white beginning to show thru the gum b4 it totally breaks thru. then u'll see the enamel of the tooth.
As far as the bm's go sometimes they tend to go more and other times it may be just pee and no bm's for a couple/few days. I think what ur experiencing is normal...

If u have any ??? feel free to call ur ped's dr. and either the dr. or the nurse can help u with ur ???? that way u'll have piece of mind.

Every baby is so individual in the way they teethe. My daughter decided to double teethe every tooth. For her, poop wasn't a problem. She'd get a slightly elevated temp, become cranky and have trouble sleeping at night. When I'd look in her mouth, the gum would be red in the area where the tooth was trying to come through. For her, it would do that for a week, recede, then do it all over again a couple of weeks later, only this time finally pushing through.

Classic case of teething. My son and daughter both were pooping up a storm. They were producing more saliva when they teethed, so they had looser stool. Alot of Dr. won't admit this as a sign of teething, but my Dr. said it was and it is very normal. I'm not big on giving Tylenol all the time, but if it helps her when she is REALLY in pain, try it. Or try natural teething tablet's or drop's, like Camilia from Hylands.
Hope that help's

It could be. We have a 7 month old and her two bottom teeth are coming in and she is pooping more than usuall and we have not changed her diet. Get ready for some long nights of screaming. Go ahead and buy some oral jel for babies. It helps.

it sounds like she is teething and this sounds like a really weird suggestion but find a piece of leather for her to chew on and if she is drooling a lot keep a bib on her.the leather needs to be big enough that she cant swallow it , think leather wallet. and baby orajel is a must. get the one that has day and night formula

Yes, it is all part of the teething process. Purchase Orajel her the baby you are definitly going to need it, if it was summer time I would recommend ice! The love it and it numbs their gum! Patience, lots of them!

you said she is not sleeping well - have you ruled out asthma - is she having breathing problems while sleeping ---- this has nothing to do with poop. - allergy?? another thought

I'm your baby's fine, its your job to worry - could be just teething
