The most recent lie i have told was a little white lie in aid of saving the dreams and illusions of christmas for 2 of my children.....they still believe in santa claus (bless)
I ordered my youngest daughter and son a new bike for christmas, and today they were delivered, unfortunately they were delivered just after school finished so my children were home. Fortunately they were in boxes so they didnt know what they were.
I told them that they were a new computer table, (which i will be buying tomorrow afternoon when they are at school) Hopefully my children are none the wiser.
Ohhh that reminds me, i have to get some christmas writing paper and envelopes so they can write their letters to santa.

This is the last lie I told.
"Get it? If I'm telling the truth, then that statement is the last lie I told, but if it's not the last lie I told, then I'm lying."

responded "Oh, great!." when asked how my morning was. I actually felt cruddy when I got out of bed.
Told it to someone I didn't really care to talk to about the details of my personal life, and said it for the same reason everyone else does. As if they really cared to know?
It's the little meaningless lies we tell each other several times a day that actually helps grease the wheels of social interaction.
Imagine a world where everyone was 100% honest 100% of the time - in reality it wouldn't work.

I pretty much have given up lying. I do not mean to appear to be some great moralist, I just am not very good at it. I always seem to get caught.
I tell the truth because it is easier than trying to remember what I said.

The last time I lied was to not hurt my sister-in-laws feelings. She asked if I liked her new haircut. I said it was the new "in" thing. I lied, it was not the new in thing, it's what hairstylist do to fix dried up, damaged hair, they cut it really short. It was awful. She looked like a camel, with bangs. Her hair was so blond and fried, she should have worn a wig. It would have looked much better.

I lied to Yahoo about which answer was best, because the technically best answer was obnoxious in tone and I wasn't going to gift the person with 10 valuable points.

I told my mother I didn't know who hit my cousin(it was me). I was never a good liar so naturally she knew it was me and I got slapped. Since then I tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may.
