Well it takes 9mths to put the weight on it is going to take a while to come off!
My nutritionist told me to eat every three hours and space that with 6 small meals throughout the day. once you get to your desired weight you can stop eating every three hours in the night and limit it to just the day and you will maintein the weight you have. It really do work, I was 95 when I found out, lost 10lbs and then ballooned to 205 at my last weigh in. I am now down to 120. Once I got into the habit of getting up every three hours (which wasn't too bad cause I had to feed the baby anyways) at night the diet worked wonderfully, I dropped over 50lbs in a matter of 2 mths. When you eat every three hours your body will not store anything it will just simply take what it needs at that moment becaus eit is not wondering when am I going to get my next chance at nutrients and fats?
And you only have to eat a small snack like a handful of carrot sticks, a yogurt or a piece of fruit.

I hate excercise. Hate it when I am feeling wiped out, I mean. But, all I've done recently is carried my own groceries in, started cleaning with an egg timer (in 15 minute run-around intervals), carrying things up and down the stairs myself, raking leaves instead of using the blower, walking the dog.
Nothing else has changed - oh yeah, I make myself have just as much water as I drink Diet Coke.
The final key to this is getting fully dressed to my shoes and lipstick on/hair done each day. I've gotten it down to a ten minute process but something about this makes me feel more energetic and folks always say "well, YOU look nice!". I feel like I look better. No expensive gyms or huge workout DVD - just being more productive to me and to my house and family has helped me drop some weight. It might be a good place to start, anyway....good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any kind of cardio. Take the baby for a walk in it's stroller. I don't know where you live or what the weather is like, but this could really be good.
Do little things- While watching TV, do some lundges or jumping jacks.
When getting groceries- park far away- don't look for the closest parking space.
Walk in the mall. It's christmas time anyway! Lose some weight while you're buying gifts! Win-win!
Good luck!

I know exactly how you feel. My daughter is 5 months & I still have at least 20 lbs to go. I go to the gym & meet w/ a trainer 2 times a week & go at least 1 more day (of course w/ the baby that's tough to do & I miss a lot)...I try to eat well...but it's tough!
I did it before & know I can do it again, but when I get home from work it's just so much easier to eat the quick "bad" stuff.
The only answer I can think of is to ask your husband to eat healthier w/ you. That truly does help.

My wife just lost about 20lbs of baby-fat (accumulated from birth of our 4-year old and 2-year old) over the past 2 months. Like you, doesn't like rigorous exercise.
What she did was:
1) Eat sensible portions of meals (i.e. 1 serving).
2) No snacks at night
3) Light stretching and walks w/family 2-3 times a weeks (typically 1-2 miles).
Since she's Chinese, we mostly eat home-cooked Chinese food (mostly stir-fried or steamed) that has sensible amounts of salt and low fat. She doesn't eat a lot of dairy foods except for eggs and drinks soy-milk instead of cow-milk.
Main thing is don't use food as a coping mechanism for stress. Now my wife is at her pre-baby weight and feels really good about herself.

I lost my baby weight very quickly with daily walks. I strapped the baby into her wrap-style sling every afternoon and walked for a good hour. It really helps with the late afternoon fussiness too! She was a winter baby, so I wore a large coat that could be zipped up over the baby, and just stuck a lambswool cap on her head.

what i did right after i had my son 3m ago seemed to work pretty well. everyones answers are really good also. i carried my son a lot bc he wouldnt let me put him down. but also when we were in bed and i would hold him and bounce him on the bed, i would use my abs to bounce up and down. or i would sit on the side of my bed and bounce and work my legs out that way. it seems to have helped bc im in better shape now thani was before i got pregnant! any little thing you can do to help yourself get back into shape works. try even using your baby as a weight and lift him up and down. its a fun time for baby and you get a workout too!
