How quickly will he be out probably do about nine years after good behaviour and all the other little things that seem to reduce their sentances, I think he should take the 40 lashes from the teacher in Sudan...and maybe add a few noughts on to the end..yep I think thats about right

we need a system that tries to prevent these events, lets start and try to cure the causes of this depravity, instead of reacting when its to late not just for this poor innocent but for too many like her, we need to react more swiftly when their starting out on their chosen profession of predation of the innocent, crack down HARD on first offence, ZERO TOLERANCE on a next one, because these depraved rabble have a long history of crime, starting small and when their not stopped, AND THEIR NOT they graduate to the more violent crime, while we wring our hands and mince around worrying about THEIR human rights!, what about the VICTIMS RIGHTS, wake up powers that be! sorry wacky one for rant you touched a nerve their, i want the whole country to be outraged, they should be.

I think we should not be self-righteous about a life having gone so tragically wrong at a very young age, which ultimately led to the end of the life of another innocent person.
We may want to believe that a harsher judicial system in the UK would act as a deterrent, but this person had been offending since the age of ten, and presumably his family, friends or carers at that stage would have spotted that something was obviously very wrong with him, and would have pleaded for help, and got none. Wouldn't some earlier intervention and prevention have been better?

Actually if you read the article it says he will serve at least 18 years and was sentenced for life.
Yeah, considering his past convictions and failure to alter his behaviour I think life is a good sentence for him.

This person is evil. He should be locked up permanently. Someone like him makes me question why so many people do not believe in capital punishment, but instead use all our hard earned tax money to pay for his living in jail.

That will shitbag should have died in prison, i hate this they say LIFE SENTENCE but they mean 10-15 years, so why call it a LIFE SENTENCE, i swear this country is going to the dogs, he should have been shot dead for what he did that woman had family and to be killed like that he is sick, did she do anything to him no, its the bloody parents not looking after there kids in childhood they turn into serial killers and rapists. Guarnteed he grew up in a council estate in a grotty flat with his mum of 16 and no dad.

Not only will he get out earlier, but thanks to our wonderful justice system he will have a computer, tv and hot dinners. More than what many innocent people in the UK own!!! he'll get to have day trips to the football and see his family. Punishment? no wonder crime is on the increase, they know they'' get an easy ride.
Please please vote someone else into power!!! get these cretins out of parliament and vote in someone who cares about us!!

It does say that he has to serve at least 18 years which means he can't be considered for parole before then and even then it won't be guaranteed. No 18 years isn't enough for anyone's murder and life should mean life.

I firmly believe in a life for a life, in fact slow torture followed by death is more fitting, I guess all the do gooders will jump to his defence.like they always do.
so much for justice,it doesn't exist

I vote Death Penalty.
Sudan is one of those places that still uses really horrific means of execution made famous in the middle ages.
