Yesterday was memorable, the cat for some reason came down with diarhea and there is a mess all over the house, cleaning it off the hardwood floors is the easy part, the area rugs and furniture is going to be a challenge. :-(

He also messed all over himself so wrestling him to the floor and cleaning him was not pleasant. It makes me gag. It isnt even my cat, really, its my exe roommates so it really ticks me off. We have a real love/hate relationship because he is so badly behaved. Not that he did this on purpose but --

THEN to put the frosting on the cake my tooth broke off. I know you Americans pay as much for dental work as we do. This is just a nightmare.

Its very demoralizing, its bad enough being on social assistance but to have to start to look the part of what most people have a stereotypical image of: "people on welfare" is really hard to accept.

My nurse was late coming to change my dressing so the demerol had word off by the time she got here - not a good day

The day before my pharmacist phoned me to ask how I was doing which surprised me - what a NICE thing to do! And a worker at Social Services has taken me under her wing to get the appeal for my disability benefits done, I would have done it without her - and when I was leaving said to me "do you need a hug? you sure look as if you could use one" Wow usually people with social services are so mean and nasty to people !!

Two great things, and then yesterday and the cat started that "one of those days" momentum - downhill all the way from there :-(

That wacked out person renting the basement suite here just called the landlord and told him I was having a party last night and was so noisy she had to go to a friends to sleep at 3 AM.
???? What a nut job, I was sound asleep at 3 AM - She is totally deranged ! He is driving in from out of town to "sit down with the two of us" and set some rules and I said to him "whats the point she is seriously totally nuts - having a party, and I am recovering from major surgery" I wouldnt even know anyone to invite to a party . How do you deal with wack jobs like her? She accused me yesterday of blocking the driveway so she couldnt get in - I have one car that I park against the fence -

I've had days when I've wished I've never climbed out of bed. It's interesting how some days just seem to go from bad to horrible.
I had a day like yours several months ago. My dog got into something that gave her the runs. Of course it was the middle of the night and it smelled so bad it woke me up. I got up, stepped in a pile, turned on the light and found there were 9 NINE messes. With a bad case of the gags, I had to clean up the messes (which smelled bad even after the clean-up). The next day one of my students puked on her desk which caused a chain reaction and 3 other kids barfed. It was the day from hell. For some odd reason, my husband thought it was funny. I can laugh now but it took several weeks before I could see the humor in it.

Yesterday was Ok, I got my car registration renewed, my new drivers license and went to 3 stores and was home in under 2 hours. Then all the 'stuff' to put away. Last night and today a different story. My neck killed me all night, ibuprofen did not help nor did sitting up. Now I still have the neck ache from hell and my sinuses have joined in and again the pain pills don't seem to help. Can barely see out of my left eye from tears and sinus blow out. Guess it will be fine, lots of weather changes going on so will chill till it passes. Glad your disability claims are on high now!! Sorry about your tooth, I had the same thing happen to a front tooth when I was destitute, it just kept cracking off more and my bro felt sorry for me and paid for me to go get my teeth fixed, it cost him a fortune and now they are a mess again. After all the thousands in my mouth thru the years. Makes no sense.

Aw GEEZ, isotope, what a day you had. My heart goes out to you - at the same time I always marvel at your 'up' attitude and your perseverance...:-)

I had a fairly normal day yesterday --drove home in prayer mode that this strange sound I'm getting in my car will 'hold on' for a month or so until I can afford to get it fixed.

Got home, fixed dinner, logged on, watched some TV, then went to bed. I leave my TV on all night [low volume]...a side affect from having had a burglary years ago...I can't sleep in total darkness nor quiet. Anyhow, something abruptly awakened me around 4:30..[yeah, the bathroom calling, but his was something different]. Lay there for a while until it dawned on me the TV WAS OFF...and on the screen was a message saying 'Please call 703-----------Your access has been restricted" [cable co.]

Yep, I knew the bill was due, but the last due date was supposed to be the NEXT day when I got paid...but they zapped me a day early.

Included my internet access too! UGH

Ah well...Murphy's Law I guess.

I know about the cat thing...My Tony had that diarrhea thingie last month and dragged his messy behind all through the house! - and I have a weak stomach anyhow plus was suffering big time at the time with bronchitis.

Who said older years were peaceful??? LOL

As a client assistance supervisor, I can honestly tell you we want to help you. Many of us have gotten burned by people seeking aid and it has turned out to be a fraud so we have to be careful. We absolutely love helping other people, just think, some people ruined it for others.

i.e., I got a request for long term recovery from Katrina, this woman stated she had 5 kids, a diabetic husband and evacuated from New Orleans...further investigation revealed that she was a resident on Missouri all the time, just wanted to jump on the bandwagon to receive free benefits. She went to 3 American Red Cross places and received $1565 each time. Unless my geography is really bad, Missouri was not located in or close to Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas or Alabama
PS. My cat has the same problem too, got out the steam cleaner today.

Katydid, I am sorry this happened to you, I know the feeling, I used to get pooped on, puked on, peed on, bled on and everything else working for this pediatrician. I can identify with the runs too, you hope that you can hop to the bathroom and clean your feet off, only to step in another pile, and gagging all the way to the john, walking on your heels, LOL
Later on it becomes funny, but at the time....?????

Scooter, I can identify with the cat dilemma, my cat Oliver is long haired and his name was Olivia for awhile, never noticed the 'fancy" part in the back, LOL

I had one of those days Saturday. It wasn't really Saturday, it is that Saturday was the culmination of the past two months, when Hubby's health has been my top priority.

I was driving to North Carolina to have Thanksgiving dinner with his daughter's family. We neared the state line and BAM! Blowout. I managed to pull over onto the shoulder of the off-ramp, but had to walk to the telephone.

The tow-truck operator arrived without his jack or lug wrench and had to call for them.

The good news is, when I took the tire to the dealer to replace it, we found we did NOT have to replace them all. The tread wear difference between old and new is minimal and won't affect the electronic all-wheel-drive.

So, although it was frustrating at the time (and we do NOW have a cell phone!), there was no lasting harm done.

EDIT -- Katydid -- I'm sorry, I'm laughing, too. I know it was gross, and I'm sorry it happened, but the chain-reaction barf is what got me giggling.

TODAY!!!!! I have had a year out of the cash office. I was chucked back in there today. I 'lost' £100, took me 30 mins to find it. We had a fuel delivery, which I had to supervise. A chilled delivery came in which had to be put away. The sandwich order came in, which had to be put away. Someone rang in sick for the afternoon shift of 1pm to 6pm so I had to get that covered and I spent 35 minutes looking at the video of someone who, the previous night, had left without paying for fuel. What should have taken me 2 1/2 hrs
in the cash office took me 5 1/4. Oh1 nearly forgot, I gave the cashier on the till, a 30 minute break. Hey Ho! another happy day at the garage. Love it really!

IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION...

Oh Hon, I have those days all the time... God Bless you for hanging in there and being able to share it with your friends.
I will add you again, to my prayer list! Sounds as if some of the good will is going your way!! That's a good thing!

I had to take my kitten Emma to the Vet yesterday... we got her from the Vet's so we just assumed they knew all about Emma, anyway, she went to have all the usual kitty stuff done. The Vet called me, which gave me a little scare, Emma is an Emmer! We have renamed her Max!!! And He is healing nicely, thank you! Only mentioning this as you also seem to be having cat problems... lol I hope your cat is better!

How about today?

This morning, my younger daughter threw a shoe and hit my older daughter in the eye, giving her quite a nice shiner.

I put ice on it, and took her to the dr., but my car died halfway there. After waiting 3 hours for assistance, they finally arrived...took car to the shop, and I just got word that it's the head gasket, and will cost more to fix than the car is worth...and I sure can't afford it.

And to top it all, the dog decided to take a crap in my bedroom...but at least he did it on the floor on my fiance's side of the bed!!

I hope tomorrow goes better for both of us...it couldn't get much worse!

It's been a long time since it's been "one of those days." I guess it's because I am very laid back & don't let things ruffle my feathers. I'm a positive thinker, maybe that has a lot to do with it. Things happen in life & I can't always be in control of things that happen, so I make the most out of the situation.
