I totally agree with Candi apples. I am so glad that they did scrap that other story line. I did not want to see jack be summer's father and i did not also want to see nick back with Sharon. That ship has sailed it's coarse. Nick and Phyllis are the new hot couple of daytime. I have been a phi-ck fan for quite sometime now. I am so glad they are finally going to listen to the viewers on this one. Nick and Phyllis belong together. As with jack and Sharon. It is better to leave well enough alone and don't touch anything concerning those two couples.

It was supposed to be carried out around late August, and we still have yet to see it, so I am going to assume it's been dropped. After all, Summer did get sick right when Phyllis went to jail, and now she's all better, and no blood test was needed after all. Although Shick enthusiasts are hoping this can come back to life so the baby will be Jack's.
I guess Lynn Marie Latham got tired of all the animosity between the Phyllis and Sharon fanbases. Go to Soaps Community on the Sony boards, and see how UGLY it is between these two fanbases over there. It's as if World War III was already happening.
I still insist that the baby is Nick's, and that Nick shoukd stay with Phyllis. Nick and SharHo must not reunite, or I will stop watching until they -- inevitably -- break up again.

I think they may have scrapped the idea when they decided to drag on this Victoria/baby story so long.
It also maybe that the powers that be have finally realized that the fans are unhappy with the way Y&R has been recently with long dragged on boring stories that never seem to end and are coming up with new ideas and a way to get out of the rut Y&R seems to be in.
I read in TV guide that there is a very strong rumor going around that Lynn Marie Latham will not be returning after the writers strike.
According to the article Lynn Marie Latham "who has nearly ruined the once glorious soap" will not be returning after the writers strike no matter what happens with the walkout!
CBS/Sony is not verifying the rumor, but they are not denying it either.
If that is true and I truly hope it is, than some of the previous ideas for storylines will probably be thrown out.
Hopefully LML will be gone and Y&R can get back to the way it used to be.
Wouldn't that just be grand???

I am not sure I was wondering that myself for the longest time because it was suppose to happen in the summer time ... well now it's winter and she is healthy as can be ... so I am thinking that they decided to leave it be with Nick being the father .... which is perfect for me because I like Nick and Phyllis together better then I ever liked Sharon and Nick together. Even though I rather see Brad and Sharon together then Sharon and Jack.

I have been wondering the same thing.I heard alot of stuff was gonna happen (through spoilers) most of it has not happened. For example they had said that Jana was going to die, that Jack would end up being the father of Summer & that Phyllis would have her charges dropped because someone would let out Brad's secret (him being George Kaplan) & therefore he would have lied in court.Something like that.None of these things have happened & I don't they are bound to happen from what I see.I'm starting to wonder if there is even any point in reading spoilers. What about you?Though I am happy Nick & Phyllis are together!

Hopefully that went down the tubes with the Lathan chick who ruined this soap. I read those same articles that Mouse referred to...she's gone no matter what happens with the strike. I also totally agree with Candi and Tricia. These "new" couples, Nick and Phyllis, Jack and Sharon are doing just fine. I would hate see them broken up with the "oops, I am the Daddy story lilne" that's been done to death in soap land !!!
There's one thing that still bothers me and that is Sharon and Brad's continued relationship. They are always "comforting" each other.

I'm glad they scrapped the storyline. I think everyone would be pissed if the writers messed with the dynamic of Nick/Phyllis and Jack/Sharon.
I love the way things are on the show.

thank god they scrapped the story line. once upon a time i really enjoyed phyllis and jack as a couple, but a lot has changed since then. i think it would be heartbreaking for nick to lose another kid. and frankly the whole paternity thing has really been overdone on Y&R in recent years: vicky's kid, ashley's kid, even the 1st round of phyllis' kid. enough already!

I have a feeling that The Y&R scrapped the storyline.
People really like Nick and Phyllis as a couple,no one wants to see the baby be Jack's.
Sharon and Jack are really growing on me as a couple as well.
If The Y&R were smart, they would leave things the way they are.
