Yes.
I am there now.
I can do my job in my sleep...but I do not want to anymore.
I have this big problem with finding a career and then sticking with it for the next 40-50 years.
I am working on a plan to cut to part time next year in hopes to gain a new perspective on some other things I might want to do with my life.
I work in public education and told myself when I felt feeling this way I would work on a plan to get out ASAP. I figure if I am going through the motions then I am no longer doing the very thing I got into this career in the first place...which is helping people.
I am thinking of taking the skills I know and building on them...so all is not a total waste. I am thinking of going into special education law.

I concur with answers 1 and 2.
When you're here all day just to get through the day.
Are you there yet?
Edit: Just now I spent about 30 minutes watching an online card on the Top Ten Types of Farts over and over again, laughing hysterically. When the most exciting part of your day is watching an animated candle demonstrate the Running Multi-Fart, you know it's time to move on.

when you surf the web 90% of the time like me. LOL! Or you can't stand getting up in the morning to go to work or you are looking forward the the weekend WAY too much. Or when a regular weekend isn't long enough.
Can you tell I'm in the same boat?

You know you are bored with your job when you don't want to do ANYTHING while you are there, including Y!A because that would be too much work at the moment. You find yourself, not daydreaming, but in a kind of sleep that only occurs when your eyes are open. Yep, that is when you know you are bored...or at least that is how I tell. :-)

When the clock doesn't appear to move, and all you can think about is how much you want it to be time to go home. Falling asleep while fighting to keep my eyes open is a definite indication of boredom at work for me.

Wathc Office Space. If you see alot of yourself in the main character or can identify with that situation, I think it's time to move on.

When, like me, you spend 99% of your workday fantasizing about a life which doesn't so closely resemble Hell.
