Usually, our local paper will run an article around this time of year listing neighborhoods that really decorate for the holidays. Maybe contact them?
Or just drive around one night, and enjoy lights as you come upon them. Turn on the Christmas music in the car, and have some hot chocolate when you get home. We usually do that sometime during the holidays with our kids, only now they think it's boring (they're 13 and 17), so last year just me and my hubby went. We got ice cream on our way home, but didn't eat it until we got home--just to show the stinky little brats what they missed! (yes, we're semi evil parents...just one of the perks of the job!) ;-)
