When will the PS3 Walk the Walk?

Right now all I hear is a lot of talk. Don’t get me wrong. I want to buy a PS3. I don’t own a 360 and I’m not trying to bash Sony. I just can’t justify the cost right now. What can I look to in the next 9 months. The only 1 up on xbox 360 is the BluRay. Yes BluRay players are expensive. But I would never buy a standalone blu ray. Its not the same as in 01 when VHS tapes were rapidly becoming things of the past and I needed a DVD player bad and ………“hey look, ps2 has one in it!!!!!” Come on yall, whats coming up BIG for PS3? GranTurismo 5 looks like its going to be sick. But the release date rumors keep pushing it back and back near the Fall of 08. Rumor has it that GTA on xbox360 will require 2 discs and Ps3 only 1 bluray, that sounds cool. But what else? I understand that the PS3 is a little ahead of its time. But its been a whole year. And I’m adding another 9 months. I know PS3 will eventually win the war, but currently it is loosing this initial battle.

Well, first of all, Sony has been walking the walk all along, it's just that most people were too blind to see it. When I got my PS3 back in January this year, I knew that there wasn't a lot of games to choose from. I only got Resistance Fall of Man and then I bought Motorstorm later on.

Basically, with the PS3, you aren't paying for what's going on now, you're paying for what's coming up in the future. I don't know if you've seen the PS3 exclusive game line up for 2008, but the PS3 has the most exclusives and it has the biggest exclusives.

As a matter of fact, last night I went to Wikipedia last night and I wrote down every Xbox 360 exclusive game coming for 2008 and I wrote down "almost" every PS3 exclusive game coming in 2008. The Xbox 360 only had 14 exclusive games and the PS3 had 42 exclusive games announced for 2008.

When you think about it, Sony hasn't even released it's biggest games for the PS3 yet. Nearly all of the exclusive games released for the PS3 in 2006-2007 were all new franchises: Heavenly Sword, Resistance Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Folklore, etc...

The PS3 hasn't even pulled out the big guns yet for it's biggest games like MGS4, God of War 3, Killzone 2, The Getaway 3, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier and the list goes on.

The Xbox 360 has already pulled out the big guns with Halo 3 and Bioshock and in 2008, and there really isn't that many "big" exclusives coming out in 2008.

I can justify the price of a PS3 easily. Some people may think that the PS3 is still expensive, but some people like me think that the PS3 is a bargain when you consider all that you're getting.

It just takes more time to make a PS3 game because the PS3 is a more advanced piece of hardware, but when the games come out, it is well worth the wait.

The PS1 and PS2 both sold over 100 million consoles each, and guess what? The PS3 will do the exact same, and like you said the PS3 will win the console war. Microsoft can only do but so much with Halo,Gears of War, and Bioshock and Eventually those games will be dead.

The PS3 is Crawling the walk right now but its still getting there. I keep hearing That the Xbox360 has all this stuff that PS3 doesn't have. Lots of games, nice internet gameplay, and multimedia stuff. The PS3 will eventually get games that the 360 doesn't or get the same game but be better on the PS3. Can the 360 get updates? The PS3 gets them and will get the stuff that the Xbox has threw the updates plus more. Sony did good being ahead of time I think. The PS3 will end up so far on top of the 360 in the future. If your waiting for the PS3 to be "THE" system, you should buy the Nintendo Wii. It is totally different than any other game console. Its changing the World of gaming and has lots of exclusive games. It is the Cheapest out of the 3.Unless your really lazy, you should enjoy the Wii. But im not saying not to get the PS3 tho. There are games like Resistance, Kill Zone 2, Any new Final Fantasy games, GTAs(Always better on Playstation), lots more. buying a PS3 won't be a mistake in my eyes.

What are you complaining about? You can get a PS3 + one game + the Blu-Ray remote at Wal-Mart for $400. How much cheaper d'you want it?

and others like Little big planet, Home, etc.
Not to mention, GT5:Prologue is due soon, and is pretty much a game in it's own right.
