Pro - less chance of earthquakes. That's enough for me. I love San Antonio, but Houston is nice, too.

Pros - lower cost of living, no earthquakes, fewer wacko liberals, no sierra club wackos, BBQ.
Cons - they likes guns in Texas, humidity = many bad hair days, around Houston - fire ants, traffic like you can't believe in Houston, summer heat w/humidity, Texas Cadillacs (Chevy Suburbans) driving just under the speed limit in the fast lane. George Bush is a Texan.
San Antonio is nice, the water tastes weird, but then it does in California too. Consider Austin or possibly Corpus Christi.

Pros - you get to live in Texas. No earthquakes, probably less crime depending on which city you choose, probably better education for kids, fewer liberals, friendly people, less traffic.
Cons - hot weather in summer, long way to beach or snow skiing.
