Fortunately I've got a very high tolerance for pain; it's my stomach that would be in agony! It would be awkward, but I'd find some way of contorting myself so that I could just gnaw my limb off. Then, I'd go to Denny's for their Grand Slam Breakfast! (wink)

I read, not too long ago, about a guy that had a huge rock trap his arm while climbing alone in rocks. He cut his arm off to save his own life.. Boy, that would be very very difficult but that or die I might try it. You know the pain had to be awful but the arm under the rock was probably gone anyway. He lived and was doing fine the last I heard..

It depends on which limb... you said limb not appendage right... there's a BIG difference.... but seriously I couldn't wouldn't gnaw it off (I feel a Seussian coming on) ... So just bury me right side up with my iPod and a good bottle of Cognac.
