I would travel back to 1912 to convince John M Studebaker to continue making electric cars, to design them better & more efficient than gasoline powered cars. Instead of bending to the will of what would become GM...
If we kept going with electric cars, we would have no need for foreign oil, our air would be cleaner, and we wouldn't locked up in an un-winnable war...

Nothing because as much as we hate many of the historical events like WWII and Kennedy Assassination and Bush being elected, it would drastically change our world today. We only learn from mistakes and trials.

My first thought was the results of the 2000 election, as it impacts me immediately. (Of course, if I could stop 9/11, that would be huge, too.)
But then I started ruminating on other events. Perhaps Neville Chamberlain's treaty with Hitler; or the assassination that led to WWI.

I would have shot every Pilgrim who arrived near Jamestown.
I would have massacred every Spanish and Portugese explorer that came ashore in the west and southeast.
