Mine:some one calls you but there is someone in the background telling them what to say, and it's loud enough that you can hear them... why didn't that person just call?

My pet peeve is when a person is talking to another person while they are on the phone with me and not telling me to hold on. They don't cover the receiver and I'm answer questions that are meant for the other person they're talking to. That's so annoying and disrespectful.

I have a few that deal with telephone etiquette:
1. People that call you on the telephone and they're talking to other people in the room while they're "supposed" to be talking to you;
2. You're on the phone with someone and they start yelling at their kids, or someone else in your ear. .
3. People that see you're on an important/business call and start talking to you while you're conducting business;
4. When you call a company and the receptionist has a nasty attitude. .
5. I also have a pet peeve with messy people, if you spill something, mess something up, for goodness sake, clean up behind yourself. .

During one of those extreme emergencies when you have to take a number 2 at a public facility. It is so bad that you are rushing to get the deed done and squatting above the john since there was no time to spread the toilet paper. Then relieving yourself only to discover there is no toilet paper in the dispenser. The d*mn roll is empty.

my online pet peeve is people reporting questions and answers on yahoo just because they want to and no other good reason..
my irl pet peeve would be people getting in the express check out at the grocery store when they clearly have more than the specified # of items.

When people smoking in their cars throw their cigs out the window or smokers just throw their butt on the ground.
I smoke myself and that ABSOLUTELY drives me insane! I mean really, how hard is it to use an ashtray ?(and if you say it is to keep the smell out of the car by having an empty ashtray, I say empty it when you get to where you are going...that is what I do and it REALLY is not difficult. )
And if you are outside and there is no ashtray or garbage can, mash the butt out and put it in your pocket until you find a trash receptacle!
What is wrong with people?

mine would have to be when im talking to someone and they dont look at me in the eyes ( and your pet peeve is very annoying also)

White flip flops make me want to scream. Also, flip flops being worn in the middle of a cold winter as if it were a fashion statement.

dog poo on the pavement. i hate having to negotiate my pram and three year old through dog mess just because people are too lazy to pick up after their animals.
