There are lots of Chinese medical systems. On of the basic ones (TCM) is built around a few diagnosises for people (ie empty or full), and one of them is hot/cold.
You are describing the cold excess problem. The Chinese health approach to this is to eat warming foods. You can look it up on an any TCM site, but the defacto choices for this are ginger and gingseng (chili peppers work to).
If by any chance you are a vegetarian, then you will have a dispostion towards cooling foods.
If you want to avoid the Chinese medicine approach of having more hot than cold foods, capsaicin (active ingredient in chili peppers) can be really good for you since it crazily boosts blood flow, which can be very good and important for you.

HI, i am the same. I even have to wear socks in the summer!
When you go outdoors, always wear a hat or a hooded jacket because keeping your head covered retains your body heat.
Indoors wear several layers of clothes, like a vest, t-shirt and a blouse rather than a heavy sweater. Wear socks with your slippers as keeping your feet covered is just as important as keeping your head covered to retain body heat.
As for diet, i expect spicy dishes would warm you up. I notice after i had eaten a chilli-con-carne, i would have to peel a layer of clothing off !

I reckon if your hands and feet are always cold then this is a sign of poor circulation (like me). My dad had poor circulation so bad his fingers were white and ice-cold!

The simplest remedy is ginger tea. Take a teaspoon of ground ginger, put it in a saucepan with a cupful of cold water, bring it to the boil, simmer for ten minutes then drink it.

If that doesn't work, there's a Chinese spice called sichuan pepper you could try, but if you do, knock it back quickly as it causes salivation and makes your mouth tingle a lot otherwise.

Prepare yourself some hot Ginger tea. Take some Ginger powder & let steep with some water awhile on low heat for a few minutes add sweetener/sugar if you like. Or you could just add pure honey(this also has health benefits), to your cup & stir.

Also I'd say wearing something on your head & feet. I think these places are where we 'lose' alot of our body heat.

If you feel cold at times when you shouldn't it might mean you are not getting enough vitamins. If you do take vitamins and feel cold then you know those don't work. A good multivitamin will react to your body and the reactions create energy which gives you warmth from the inside to the outside. I'd recommend these

sometimes if you are tired this can cause you to be cold so ensure that you have a good nights sleep. also some people just generally feel the cold more than others. Another reason is you could have poor circulation.

It's possibly due to bad circulation. Maybe you are low in iron, as iron is essential for good circulation. You can have a test at the doctors to check your iron levels - if they are low eat more iron rich foods and/or take a supplement

Don't wear heavy clothing. Wear layers of medium fabrics. Two pairs of medium weight socks to keep your toes warm. When outside, wear a light weight pair of gloves under a warm pair ogf gloves.

Ginger is very good for warming up & it heps me when I get the shivers. (fresh ginger in hot water +honey, honey is also good as it raises the blood sugar) .I agree with the layering, I do it all the time & it keeps one warm.
