When a random guy whistles at you because he finds you attractive. I saw another question on whistling, and I just wondered how women really feel about getting whistled at. Is it reassuring, or does it make you feel disrespected, or does it kinda turn you on that a random guy thinks you're hot?

If there is a woman out there that isn't flattered when some random guy lets her know shes hot shes dead a prude or gay...for me it is an ego boost and I take it as a compliment, although it is happening less as years add up, still think it is a compliment though, sometimes I even let out a whistle, yell or thank you to a hot guy!

Wow! This is enlightening! I would have guessed that 90% of women would have said they hated being whistled at. I have whistled to myself when I saw an extrordinarily sexy woman on the street, but have always held back because I thought they wouldn't like it if I whistled out loud.

I probably still won't be that blatant about my appreciation, but now I won't feel so guilty if she sees me looking.

And I thought I was an enlightened male already!

I love it when it happens, it gives me an ego boost- the man I married always said I wouldnt be able to find anyone else better than him cause I wasnt pretty enough...but when I get the whistles and the cat calls it actually makes my day

Whistling at someone is both flattering and condescending at the same time somehow. I roll my eyes, but I carry my head a bit higher just the same!

When I must go into downtown Tampa or St. Petersburg I always dress for the construction workers not the meeting.

I actually find any form of attention, degrading, or otherwise to be a complete ego booster...hell even dirtbags know a pretty lady when they see em :)

I can't stand it. I think it is just kinda disrespectful. If you think I look hot, please find another way to let me know.
