like, say, having a baby at 16....that could ruin your future life. so could getting in jail

Its not just limited to teenagers, I promise you, but when we are teenagers, we feel invincible, everything is here and now and we have little thought to any consequences beyond getting told off by our parents or possibly arrested, other than that, we as teenage humans don't tend to think much beyond that. I did loads of stupid things in my teens.

Yes they do, but only because they don't have the life experience that an older person has. There is also much to be learned from your mistakes. Ever hear that saying, 'What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger'.

hormone/testosterone is doing that to them. their bodies are changing and most of the time, they just don't know how or what to do, so they just do stupid things. Sometimes alcohol or drugs are involved
