Last night a black janitor spilled his dirty bucket of water on my office floor getting it on my very expensive shoes and on my suite jacket which was hanging over a chair. I said "what the hell?" and he said dont worry sir, I will shine that right up for you." I was angry so I said, "yeah, cuz you are a shine" as I left for the night. What can happen to me? He works for the building.

What does the colour of his skin have to do with anything?

or is this just a joke that I don't get??

edit: "yeah, cuz you are a shine" - what the hell does that even mean?lol

Edit: well then you deserve to be fired!! you do realise that a white person could have just as easily spilled the bucket? besides, have you NEVER accidentally done something before Mr. "I'm so perfect"!!!

It depends where you work. If it's New York, or some other ultra-liberal city, then you're as good as fired already. If you are a white male, then you should not have a good job anyway. Those jobs belong to women and blacks, or haven't you heard?

If you are not a white male, then you had every right to get angry about this brain-dead moron's mistake.

What does it matter what color the person was? And what does the comment you made to him mean? What is a shine? I've never heard it before.

Your "suite" jacket was hanging over a chair??? Makes the entire scenario suspect to me.
