Lined the outside peak of the house with lights but the extension cord is too heavy and is pulling the lights down. How do you plug in the lights without it pulling them down. The electrical socket is not at the top of the house it's near the bottom.

Thanks

I used plastic clips on the shingles. At the end of the roof then I have the extension cord going up a tree to the roofline to take off some of the weight but something isn't right.

Do you have holders to keep the lights up?
If you are using the holders then you can take a few of them and put a holder on there to keep the end from unplugging.

I have gutters on my house and I always use the clips to hold the cord up. My cord also hangs down. I have cords running all over my yard. It is a mess.
Maybe you are using too heavy of a cord.

you need to tape or staple the cord at the top to take some of the pull off of it.
