I used to live in a security-locked building that had a policy against solicitation. One day, someone knocked on my inside door and when I opened it, it was some unknown kid and his dad wanting me to "donate" $10.00 so he could go to some sports camp and, in his words, "win a prize". He was just asking for money and had nothing to sell. All he had to sell was the posibility that HE could win a prize. I couldn't care less if he won a prize or not. You have to call and make an "appointment" to get me to open my front door these days.

I really do... it's rude to just stop by and try to sell... I had someone last week trying to tell me I need new windows, I was like ok I'll get back to you. Right, that's the most important thing on my mind right now, my windows. When I want windows I'll call them.

Never let a KIRBY VACUUM Sales person into your home. THEY LIE.. and they leave crap all over your floors. The guy left dirt, dust, cat hair and baking powder all over my floors. When I asked him if he was going to clean it up he said "it's you dirt.. do whatever you want with it"

No, I talk to them nicely and tell them they are wasting their time, because I won't buy. But if they still want to show their product, okay with me. They mostly do and go away smiling happily.

We don't let them. We have a very obnoxious sign on the front door that literally scares them away.

I live where those kind do not find me! And if they do make it through the two gates and dog, there is no one answering the door except for "Shorty"...if you catch my drift.
