I can't say that I never have but you can't foresee the future and things change were you can't do what you said you were going to do.
When I can't do what I say, I make sure to let the other party(s) know as soon as I can.

i try not to ever. i like to be someone people can count on. once in awhile circumstances change (like weather) and i can't take the kids to the park like i promised but with BIG stuff, i always keep my word.
