they killed Transformers with their stupid movie by making it stupidly patriotic and giving Optimus Prime flames, now they wanna take DBZ and make a live-action American version. idiots! if anime people took something American ur guaranteed it'd be better because the Japanese are more creative and can make great changes such as adding more violence and better character designs, Hollywood's just recycling ideas!

YES TRANSFORMERS IS AN ANIME MADE IN THE US! co-produced with Toei Animation and most of the staff is Japanese, plus they used 80's style anime backgrounds and anime robots designs. moreover the whole concept of transformers started in Japan.

why do they want to kill Dragonball Z now?

Killing is their favorite habit...
Whether it's people or anime, that is irrelevant...

There is already a live action version of Dragon Ball. It's pretty cheesy and old. Not very good.

The reason they take ideas like this, is to make more money kinda.

If you think about it, you already have a huge fan-base with people who love a certain thing and make something that will entice people to watch. There you go! You already have money flowing back to you. And you really didn't have to come up with most of it at all.

It usually turns out bad, since just about all movies that are taken from Video Games and Anime and other animated cartoons that are made into live action end up to be a flop because they cannot compare to the already used up original ideas and possibilities that they were given in a "non- real life" type of thing.

But, that's just me speaking. :P

I didn't think they killed Transformers. I grew up watching the TV show when I was a kid and I loved the movie. I thought it was awesome! They had to update the movie for the times. They couldn't keep a lot of the stuff from the cartoon in a movie made for today. Does that even make sense? I hope so!

um, they can't freakin do that to DBZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People have serious issues! Have they ever stopped to consider that originality is for the better good? People are just running out of ways to make money so they take other peoples hard and cool work and F it up to "try" and make a buck. damn! people have no talent anymore. I'm boycotting the movie if it comes out, I know my friends will. The damage has already been to done to transformers, efin a holes. could have been so much better. I think i'll go crawl in a dark hole and read my new shonun jump right now. To answer your question it's all about conformity, money, and power. absolutely no respect......

Why are you blaming America? Was there a national vote for which cartoons to make into movies, and I missed the polling place? Man, I am kicking myself now!
Don't be dumb. Movie studios make great, good, bad, and downright terrible movies with one motivation......MONEY!
I am sorry, though, that you are SO stuck on the original version of your favorite childhood cartoons that you can't possible enjoy them once altered slightly!!!

Why does Asia have to take American music and make it a whiny soap opera cry-fest, even in rap?

Argument goes both ways. When a society takes another idea, it usually changes it in a way that makes the original makers annoyed
