Why is abortion rights such a debated and heated issue in 2007 in America?
Everyone knows that it will be practiced regardless.

I find it pointless and think it's a sneaky tactic to bring religion into the issue.

When religion and politics mix, people get burned at the stake, or beaten for naming a Teddy Bear "Muhamed".

Religious fanatics should be kept out of politics, out of government, and as far away from moral people as humanly possible.

I am against abortion. But I don't think I should force my view on others. If only we could all mind our own business. But then, I remember when the liberals wanted to ban my guns. So: I will support your right to an abortion when you support my right to keep and bear arms. Isn't it funny how we always want to eliminate the other person's rights, and then whine when they want to eliminate our own? There is a lesson here. The government wants to eliminate all our rights period. Will we let them do it?

No, I do not. Abortion is just taking the life of an Innocent child because the mother that would be neither values the child's life, nor is responsible enough to prevent an undesired pregnancy to begin with. Why practice responsibility when you can kill something and get away with it?

I do not believe in abortion but that is my choice. The person that has the abortion does not have to answer to me or any one else that is between them and God. Politics and religion has nothing to do with it and should not at all.

Any kind of killing will be practiced regardless of laws against it. Does this mean we shouldn't have these laws? Does it mean the laws don't act as a deterrent?
