2) That a man could have intercourse with with a girl in Germany; as long as she's at least 14 years old? And with a girl in Spain; as long as she's 13 years old? And with a girl in Mexico; as long as she's 12 years old? Do these countries advocate paedophillia or what??
3) That the age of consent in America differs from one state to another (eg in California it's 18, but in Alabama it's 14!!!), and thus you could be a rapist for having a relationship with a 17.5 year old girl in California, while being a normal guy for being with a 14 year old in Alabama?!!!!
4) In America, a man can have an unlimited number of girlfriends at the same time...could have an unlimited number of boyfriends at the same time...yet cannot marry more than one wife at a time??!!
5) In many American states, adultery is not a reasonable excuse for divorce??!

In my country (Hungary) the age of consent is 14 y. But many younger gilrs made sex already. From the USA I can read these letters: "I am 14 and may be pregnant. Help." The USA low where the consent age is 18 is just very stupid, it is agaist the human nature.

I certainly didnt know the specifics of those facts? But im really surprised about the info to your #1 considering in those days people did not live as long so by the time you reached 24 hmm...I suppose they were thinking that IF you made it to that age, you've overcome lots of diseases so you were a better candidate to bring forth children...
Those other countries that have the age of consent at 12, 13 or 14, that makes sense if it was enacted many centuries ago and they just havent changed the rules b/c again, people didnt live as long and society wanted to get procreation going as soon as the girls can start producing. Also, males dominated the world and made the rules for their satisfaction.
As for the various ages of consents within the USA, thats just plain strange and stubbornly lazy that it hasnt changed by now to the same for all states and theres too many comments i can make about that...including the adultery excuse.

Very Glad to be Canadian atleast our laws are the same across Canada.
You would think the President would make a point of having all sates having the smae laws especially concerning age of consent.

just wondering are u upset with all this? i so dont agree with number 5. Also it shows u how much things changed in the past years, my mom had me at 15 yrs old and my dad was 22 also they had gotting married a yr before i had been born. now if a guy does that u would be able to look him up on the net under sex offender, its crazy huh. ok i think i have earned my points now.
