I stopped using citgo gas when I learned who owned it. I cut up my card & sent it back with the last bill. I pulled into a station with exxon signs, & handed them my exxon pass, they said we are not exxon. I said, what station is this? He said citgo, we don't have the new signs yet. I said, Okay, put the cap back on, I don't buy gas from chavez! & I drove off to the next one.

I haven't stopped at a Citgo station in so long I can't remember. I think about 100 F-15's would do nicely for Hugo, it would be nice if Sean Penn and George Clooney were visiting at the time by the way. I wish we were taking Oil in the middle east sometimes. We wouldn't be paying $3 a gallon for gas if we were!

Hugo Chavez does NOT run Citgo. While I'm sure he benefits financially by virtue of the company existing in Venezuela, he doesn't "run" it.

If you're suggesting an embargo on Venezuelan petroleum products, are you also going to suggest government retraining programs for the tens of thousands of Citgo employees in the U.S.?
If we are to stop using petroleum products from Venezuela, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan without tapping U.S. reserves or resources, where will you let us buy our gas?
Or are you of the mind that we should all be waking or riding bicycles anyway?

You see? You just cannot win. We put sanctions on a country, thereby refuse to do business with them like we did in Iraq or Cuba and people scream that the people are starving and have no medicine because of our evil sanctions. Now we have people wanting us to put sanctions on Venezuela. Please keep in mind that Chavez will have no problem selling his Citco Gasoline whether we buy it or not. So any sanction would only serve to drive our costs up and not affect him at all.
It is good to know that people are interested and want to do something. But before you go off half-****** take a long look at recent history. There are causes and effects to every decision. Beware of simple solutions to complex problems.

Do you really think people would stop buying needed gasoline because of Chavez's politics?

We have shed enough blood in this dam war. We should have impeached Bush before we loast all those people. But America has turned into dogs with there tails between there legs. Nothing only one person can do, we have to unite and Americans have forgotten how to do that!
