Not always. "No good deed goes unpunished." I sold my home one time and left basic furniture (dresser, dining room table, futon, desk and a lawn mower that all were in excellent shape) for the person who bought the house because she was starting out and had nothing. She went out of her way to be the biggest pain throughout the entire sale. Didn't even say thank you. I wish I threw it away instead.

Acts of true kindness never need to be remembered by the person receiving them. It is a great feeling to help someone in need and both parties feel great at the time, then life gets into the way and you (the person that received the kind act) have to deal with today's problems, you overcame yesterday's problem(s) with the assistance of a stranger (or someone you know) and now have to deal with the problem in front of you. The person that gave the act of kindness, if it was a true act of kindness only remembers the act when they see someone else or themselves in a similar situation. I do like the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you give or receive a act of kindness, but society is such that you just are not able to carry that feeling with you for an overly long period of time. Now if the act of kindness also involves an act of heroism or some other level of danger you do remember those for a longer period of time. for example: if someone helps you with a flat tire you say thank you and leave it at that; if someone pulls you from a car fire you tend to get names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and stay in contact, send Christmas cards, get invited to be on 'The Today Show' or 'Good Morning America'.

I`m sure that there are a few who would remember the help they got on thier way up, but I know of one person who made it a point to come to me to say thanks. She was a young woman who had good ideas, but needed someone to listen. She`s now doing very well.

Well Not always because if u had done something for any person don't pretend that u did that all way he may feel down and be buried under ur kindness or favours that u have done for him

Yes I know some do as they show their appreciation for it I do not do anything for reward to be honest as long as when my chips are down I have the kindness returned.

I hope so but if not then you are not doing them to be good but to get praise.
