I have been looking for this anime for YEARS, but I forgot its name!
It was on the BBC when I was little, so about 10-8 years ago on saturday mornings...it was about a boy, who got transported ot another world (big surprise there) and he got his own little monster, who looked like a snack he liked, it was like, yellow, and with a big green shell, I think.
Anyway, this boy was joined by a man made out of stones, or something, and they fight other monsters, and there's one protagonist who looks like he's wearing a mask which looks like the sun...methinks...
I'm sorry it's really vague, but I can't remember much about it, apart from that I really LOVED it! O_O
Someone, PLEASE help me find the name of this anime??

I don't know the answer, but if you don't find out here try going to Anime News Network. They have a forum with an anime section. In that section is a thread devoted to identifying anime. If no one there can help you, odds are it isn't an anime.

I pretty certain what you are referring to is called Monster Rancher (http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=1469 ). I loved that series when I was a kid as well.
If this isn't it, say something, as I think I have a few other (albeit less likely) ideas. Otherwise, best of luck.
