I don't know why but I haven't had an opportunity to play that game for years now and I miss it. I had beaten that game like 150 times when I was a kid and now I've grown to be an old, 19 year old loser who can't afford a game system...

But my main question regarding this issue is that is it normal for me to cry over a video game that I have missed?

Maybe you cry not because of the game itself, but because you feel nostalgic of the time when you were playing that game. It could be any factor. Maybe life was more carefree back then, in elementary or high school compared to college life. Maybe you've since moved houses and you miss the times in the old house "while playing that game". Or maybe your family or loved ones used to do some fun stuff a lot together during the time you were playing that game, that you don't do any more.

;)

Of course it is haha. Your crying over something that you truely love. If you love something and you cant play it or see it, why is it bad to cry? LOL. I remember when i used to play my fav. videogames and i couldnt get passes something, or if i did and something got deleted i would cry because i was mad but at the same time loving what im playing. It like crying over a pet. You loved the pet and you always wanted to be with the pet but when there gone your sad. In your case resident evil 2 (which is an amazing game) is gone so that makes you sad.

videogames interact directly with our emotions, like on some kind of primal level. our emotions get involved! That always makes us remember things harder.
