Im a moderate "centrist" if you will what ive seen as the biggest mistake the democrats keep making over and over again in this and past elections is this. They never field candidates that have obvious clear stances on the issues and their stances seem to change everytime the wind blows. Then at sometime during the campaign they shoot themselves in the foot by giving inane and baffling statements like Al Gore proclaiming to be the father of the internet. I will vote for the candidate that stands for their convictions and says what has to be said wheter it be a DEM or a REP.

They've already made it - supporting amnesty for illegal aliens. The whole country is puking sick of Republican policies, and the Dems would win easily in Nov. 2008 unless... they zoom in on the worst of those policies - the lack of border enforcement - and make it into a campaign issue, on the opposite side from a vast majority of the voters? Totally stupid, almost Bush-dumb...

The biggest mistake I think they can make is to keep proposing new policies that would cost a ton of money to implement, and play on our emotions to get people to support it.
Oh wait. They are already doing that.

Letting every goofy minority group out there take over their party and make them unwinnable to regular people, who still (barely) make up the majority of Americans.
