The WWE already tried it, with moderate success. They called the group "Evolution". Flair, Triple H, Batista, and Orton. Flair was Ole, Triple H was Flair, Batista was Arn, and Orton was Tully.
I was there at the formation of the Horsemen, and I saw every lineup of the Horsemen, including when Benoit and Sting were members.
The Horsemen were revolutionary but that is the past. The Horsemen were, and always will be, Ric Flair, Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard (and JJ Dillon, but not Baby Doll). Any other iteration of the group was a pale imitation of the original. The Horsemen can never be duplicated.

WWE would never recreate the Horsemen. Not because of Benoit but in all the incarnations of the horsemen the only member still wrestling today is Ric Flair. Flair is on the verge of retiring so to bring back the horsemen doesnt seem logical.

The WWE will never recreate the Horsemen...
It has nothing to do with Benoit. Though.
The simple fact is wrestling has evolved and most of the people who watch today have no idea who the Four Horsemen where. I'm sure we'll see more stables in the future but the Horsemen are done and over with.

Evolution was pretty popular but not nearly as popular as the Horsemen. I don't think the Horsemen will ever come back.
Reasons:
-Flair is probably retiring at Wrestlemania 24.
-Benoit's suicide obviously leaves him out.
-Arn Anderson is severly injured and can't wrestle without a severe chance of getting hurt.
-Dean Malenko is out of shape and probably doesn't want to return anyway. Hes content with his producer role. Did you see how fat he was when everyone was clapping for Flair?
-Tully Blanchard has hardly any chance of coming back.
-See Blanchard for other previous members.
So if the WWE wanted to bring them back, Flair would have to stay on board for a little longer and Malenko would have to get back into shape or get completely new members which would not work for the fans. So for the forseeable future, I don't think the Horsemen will ride again.

The Legendary Four Horsemen will never be duplicated. Ole, Arn, Ric, Tully, JJ Dillon set the standard and they set the bar high.

I don't think WWE ever had the horsemen. The horsemen were in the WCW and NWA; however, if you remember the WWE had Evolution, which was kind of like the horsemen . . . although I don't think it was too popular
