All babies reach certain milestones at different ages. My daughter was lifting her head and gaining control of it very early, but our neighbor's little boy (who is 2 days younger than her) still did not have good head control at 3 months. Just try to give her a lot of "floor time" especially on her tummy so she can work those muscles. Start with a few minutes each day and then as she becomes stronger you can increase the time. Plus you never know, sometimes you have a baby that is a late bloomer and then all of a sudden they reach 2 or 3 milestones at once. For example my nephew was still not crawling by 12 months, but then at 14 - 15 months he was walking! And then a few months later he was running!
If you are concerned you should mention it to your Dr., but know that all babies are different. I don't know if my daughter will be sitting up on her own at 5 months (she is 4 months now) and she has great head control.

No, not all babies are like clock work. Some will learn faster than others and it could just be that she is not quite strong enough to hold her head up yet. My daughter was holding her head up very well at 2 months old and still to this day her head will kinda fall forward once in a while (she is also 3 months old), mostly when she is tired. If your baby was premature then that could also be why she is not learning at the rate she should be but don't be alarmed it's normal, it does not mean your daughter has a learning impairment or anything.

She is doing great! Don't sweat it. If you do some baby excercises with her she will get stronger. Just like with adults, muscles have to build through movement. It is important to go easy and stop when she gets tired - make it fun - do it to music and start slow. We did baby pull ups (you hold their hands and gently lift the head and shoulders up). Leg excercises (holding her up in a standing position and allowing her to push up with her legs). Don't forget your tummy time! I'm not sure, but I think the Bumbo seat was helpful too. Of course they should never be left alone in the Bumbo (some people really lack common sense and put the baby on high surfaces in a bumbo which is the main reason for the recall...hello people!). Like your baby, mine got good control of her head around 3 months. My daughter could sit unsupported at 4 months. We did excercises from birth. She can stand while holding onto something by herself at just under 6 months. Each baby's determination and interest in sitting, rolling and standing very much dictate how quickly they meet the milestones. My baby doesn't like to roll much, but loves to sit and play. Her friend the same age prefers to roll all over the room but can't sit yet.

She's still pretty little and it's only sitting up with support by then. It will take til 7 or 8 months for them to sit in the middle of the floor without falling over. NO don't be worried. She just isn't as strong as some other babies. It's perfectly fine.

No, she is only 3 months old right now, She is still learning how to gain control of all her body parts...
She will learn it before you know it, you will be holding her up one minute, and the next, she is holding herself up thinking she's independant..lol... Do Not be worried at all, this is totally normal. It just takes some time for her to discover how easy it is...Hope this Helps

Do not worry about your baby sitting up yet. Your baby is only three months old. Just give your baby tummy time and then worry about your baby sitting up later. Also remember, that every baby is different.

No, she is only 3 months old. My son didn't sit up without occasionally falling over, even at 7 1/2 months. All babies develop at different rates, don't worry, she is still very young!

No I wouldn't be worried three months is still so small. What does her pediatrition say?
Also at five months most babies still need some propping up to be able to sit alone they still wobble back and forth and don't have full control.
You still have two more months, you would be surprised at how much a baby learns in two months.

i run a daycare and i child that came to me at 4 1/2 months could just hold his head up but could only turn it one way from being left in his crib all of his life and within a week at 5 months he learnt to sit up dont worry your child will develop at her own speed but a general rule is if they are slow at learning everything (i mean a month or two late) then you should see a doctor in case there is a developmental delay but with proper help most children catch up and have no problems in their life later on
