I have a male neutered rabbit and a friend is giving me a female guinea pig, one year old. Can these two share the same cage and be companions for each other? will it work out do you think?

It's fine for them to be companions, but they won't be able to live together in the same cage, because the food they need is so different. It would be bad for the rabbit to eat the pigs food, and really bad for the guinea pig to eat the rabbits food. They should get along fine as buddies, but should be caged/fed separately.

No, no and no.

Rabbits and guinea pigs are unable to communicate with each other and have very different dietary needs.

One WILL bully the other; probably your buck; and he will likely rape your sow.

If your buck gets startled by something and/or gives a kick with his hind legs he can break the guinea pigs ribs and kill it.

no, people belive that they should keep them together but they have very diffrent nutritional needs, and a kick from a rabbit can be fatal to a guinea pig.
