It appears to be so . . but that does not have to stop us!
I would think that a man would be proud of having an acquaintance of respect with a woman of intelligence and true confidence!
I as a woman, would always find a delight, with whom I would respect for these qualities you mention.
I do not understand that hidden underbelly of continuous resistance for one reason or many others between men and women. But since IT does exist I just continue to be myself, whether liked, feared or NOT!
I am an individual whose rights are as worthy as another's.
Whether the gender is the same or the opposite of mine.
I was not born into the world and Life to usurp power, nor to have power usurped from me because of my gender!
That only proves the other's insecurity and false sense of superiority.

I wish there were more of them, but the ones that you usually are are ugly. Besides a person cant going around saing there smart, thats an immediate sign of ignorance. Intelligence is subjective to what ever situation your in. Either you are or your not, dont say it. be it.

Are the words 'women' and 'smart' allowed in the same sentence?

i don't think most men are afraid. it definitely has to do with low self esteem. men who have the possible low self esteem are the ones who you would most likely find working in a low paying job like Staples, or Mc Donald's etc....

Men who strive to do their best, even if they flop but continue to try are the ones who probably have high esteem, thus making then a good catch.

men with good esteem, like the ones in college or the ones who i admire the most are the ones who couldn't finish schooling but have worked hard to make a successful business are admired the most by me and make good catches

I think so as they loose their control when the woman is smarter, and confident. Personnaly, I admire intelligent women with confidence.
