Yeah, our cat can figure out how to open any door, even if it's locked with a key. Provided of course the key is left in the lock.

I have a pitbull and she is the best dog I have ever had. I have two one year old daughters and they are constantly tugging on her ears and taking her bone away from her. The whole time she just licks them. She is so good with the kids it is amazing.
On the other hand, I have a small dog that is horrible with them. One pull on his hair and he snaps at them and runs away.

Up until about 2years ago when I had to put her to sleep I had a Beagle/Sheltie.
I really miss her... Sniff! Sniff!
I always admired her loyalty to us and how effectionate she was to not only us, but other people too!

I love my dog's facial expressions, she's like having a real Gromit living with you! I also love the way my gerbils try to climb up my hands when I go to pet them.

He's always happy to see me and still gets excited about the same old dog food every day (does get special treats, too.) Also, he can fetch the tennis ball endlessly.....and can do so in all types of weather....
Thunder scares the heck out of him though...

Her forgiveness. My dog spent the first few years of her life as a breeding dog at a puppy mill. I think it's amazing that this hasn't affected her amount of affection or trust towards people.

How consistently goofy they are!!!
My dogs can produce the funniest smiles, dances, and poots.
My cats can chase ghosts, have nightmares, and single-handedly pull a turkey onto the floor.

I have two quaker parrots. They are WONDERFUL companions. They sing and talk and they truly do make me happy when I am sad. My 6 month old niece will lay on the floor and our parrots will look down at her and say " HI BABY" and when she cries they go BOO HOO HOO. they are just wonderful animals and mine loves to play peek-a-boo :)
