we are having a baby girl due in about 2 weeks.... her first name is JAYLYN and her last name is SMITH....
he wants her middle name to be renee
and i want her middle name to be MICHELLE...
wich sounds better????????.

Honestly, they are both dated and are filler names. I think you guys should just start over and come to a compromise on a name you both like. I don't think it is fair for one person to have all the say. But if you plan on having more children you could always use one now and the other later. Even though I strongly dislike both names, I think Jaylyn Michelle Smith flows better than Jaylyn Renee Smith. What about Jaylyn Rachelle?

I think both sound fine, but I am not fond of the name Michelle, so I would go with Renee... How about naming her Jaylyn Renee MIchelle Smith ? or opposite

Jaylyn Renee Smith flows better together in my opinion but why not use both names.
Jaylyn Renee Michelle Smith sounds good too.

I think Michelle sounds nicer. It has the "L" and "i" sounds from Jaylyn in it, and the "M"and "i" sounds from Smith in it. The rhythms are the same, so it doesn't make a difference there.
ETA:
I love stargirl796's idea of spelling Jaylyn as Jaelyn. That is an awful lot of "Y"'s in one name, with only an "L" between them.
