It's 1976, I am 15 years old. I am sitting outside on a summer day with a friend across the street from the YMCA.
Dream Weaver is blaring on the radio....and I spot my 'crush' coming down the street on his bike, going towards the Y....I swear, time slowed down and it appeared he was weaving on his bike to the rythm of that song. I think that was my first revelation that 'orgasms' existed. I can not hear that song without going back to that day. And the funny thing is...he couldn't stand me HA

HA!!! Tainted Love! Every time I hear that song I think about the summer hanging out at the pool all day dancing around it. There was no work, no school and all play.

Oh yeah, good memory songs. I'd have to say the song that goes, "Everything I do, I do it for you". It reminds me of early school dances and wanting to dance with the cute boys, but still at that age where you just stand around.

Sunshine Superman by Donovan. It was the first gift my now hubby bought me when we were dating. It was back in the fall of 1966. I still have it. My early Christmas gift is a record player so now I can play it!

Mine is Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl . . . my first job after high school was as a camp counselor, and the nurse of the camp and I started dating. He was my first "grown-up" boy friend, and I was his "Brown-eyed Girl". At the end of the summer party, he played that song for me, and we danced like there was nothing else going on. it was just the two of us, and it was great!

"Monster" by Steppenwolf. It was a favorite of "heads" in Viet Nam. That song really took us away from the ugly world we were in.

"Magic" by the Cars; it makes me thinking watching that silly video; where Ric Ocasek is walking on a swimming pool . . . we watched it at my friends house and danced to the song . . .

"So far away from me," by Dire Straits. It conjures up bad memories and I really can't listen to it to this day.
