How do you think the world is going to end?

Probably only two possibilities. The sun going supernova, or being stuck by a very large body in space.

Unless you define the end of the world as the end of human life. That will happen much sooner: possibly a virus, or nuclear holocaust, or a collision with a asteroid or comet large enough to block out the sun for an extended period of time.

Right now in 2007, there are several factors that indicate how the world might end. First off, the natural phenomenon of global warming. Second, by the year 2100, it is estimated that about 50% of our animal species will be extinct, meaning that the natual balance of the our ecosystems will be dramatically thrown off. By no means am I some tree-hugger, these things have been discussed among intellectual circles, CNN, and in my college ethics course. I believe that it will eventually burn up in flames.

Cosmologically speaking, in a few billion years, the dying sun will expand to the orbit of the Earth and incinerate it. Humanity's place on Earth will like end long before then, but something of us, from us will be thriving elsewhere in the Galaxy.

The universe is currently expanding so it will keep doing so until it explodes in a similar way to the big bang. Then new planets and stars will be made from the old world.

Hmm. I could be the only person here who really knows the answer but how would you know it unless you were the other person? I believe it will be God, me and my soulmate...on a beach watching the Sun set for the last time. And then....eternal sleep.

The seas will be over fished and polluted, the land will diminish due to population housing and over farming to feed everyone. Not exactly cheery but that's the way it is!!

I have faith, as I am a Muslim, that there will be The Day of Resurrection, where every and each one of us will be judged by God on everything we have done.
