It would not be dumb if you like him. I'm a Twins fan and love Kubel. Some people aren't fans of him and might disagree, but if you like the guy and aren't paying an arm and a leg for it. Good for you, that will be a nice piece of memorbilia for you.

A collection of any kind should be representative of the things you like. I am certain a autographed Kubel bat would be a nice addition to your collection.

If that's your favorite player or if you really want it, go for it. I collect autographs and There are certain Jason Kubel photo's I've traveled all the way to Minnieapolis to get his autograph. I actually needed him to complete my team photo. It was well worth it.....

Not at all. If you like the player, then why not? I like memorabilia, especially as a personal collection. If you want a Kubel bat, there's nothing wrong with that.

Buy the bat only with money you don't need for anything else.
If you are buying for a future investment you may be taking a big chance on it becoming worth your time and money however if you are buying because you would enjoy having it then go for it!

Why would you pay for that? Just bring a piece of notebook paper down to the Dome on game day and have him sign it. It's not like people are dying to get his autograph. Why on earth would you want that? I would definitely laugh at you.
