Why not, Dick and Bush won the last election?
Oh, I get it...you can only register monosyllabic words (sorry, MO NO SI LA BIK).
I guess Ron Paul and Chris Dodd would work for you. You could do worse I suppose.

Yes. Or he is running for VP (which he wouldn't state publicly - but I believe he sinerely wants to be President).
Who thought Gerald Ford would become President?
Who thought an actor from California, Ronald Reagan, would become President?
Who thought a hillbilly from Arkansas who had extramarital affairs would become President?
Who thought the former partying son of a former President who lost re-election would become President?
Who would think that a first term Senator from Illinois whose first speech on a nationwide scale was at a Democrat convention only three years ago would be leading in the Iowa caucus polls?
Of course, these are just the "successful" results; there are even more "unsuccessful" results (e.g. Ferraro as VP nominee in '84). It all depends on how you measure success: actually winning, becoming VP, or just getting your ideas and initiatives out there.
I applaud those who throw their hat in the ring over those who just sit idly by.

What I want to know is why you think his name has anything to do with what he stands for. That is like condemning Edwards solely on the basis of his $400 haircut. It's a non-issue that is masquerading as an issue.

Are you saying he'd have more credibility if he were named John Smith? Maybe you are right. I find that incredibly small minded.

I see your point. however, I think he has a very good chance. No matter how you feel about the man, he seems like a very likable person.
