I don't usually complain, but not asking clear questions is also a violation. I guess it's easier to report someone asking for a link, than to actually provide a link.

one would think giving a link would help to clarify many questions.

Any reason seems to be valid. I have been censored for pointing out steel weakens after heating. Or pointing out the links between The Nazi party and Moslems. Using information available for checking on the web. I do not provide links because sourcing is also a problem. Folks have used wilkipedia that font of garbage or the New York Times who's track record is Dubious, and when sourced on the right you are a Bush suck up.

Asking for a link is not the violation. Failing to answer the question is.

What I try to do is answer the question the best I can with the info given first. That might just be a yes, no answer. Then ask for the clarification.

If that is not possible, maybe just skip the question or do your own homework first before answering, because in this nasty section it's more about bashing and eliminating your opponents than it is about real questions and answers.

I got violated for showing a Google link instead of a Yahoo link

It's all about adds per click.

We get caught up in the politics and forget that Yahoo is an advertising business. Everything they do is to expose people to advertising.

You can also get a "violation" for asking a question. I did.
Sorry,let me rephrase that....
Can you get a "violation " like I did for asking a question?

Anything can be aviolation if someone has a different opinion than yours, might as well get used to it if you are going to stay on here, appeal it and move on.

Oh I always get thumbs down for asking for sources. It's a silly pissing game sometimes.
