I write them upon occasion, and they've often been published--including one in which I called a newspaper's baseball writer Oscar the Grouch!

If you want to see your words in print, write about a recently-published article, use good grammar, and keep your letter short. Displaying a sense of humor may help, too.

What I've written as an adult has been published. The rant I wrote to TV Guide as a kid complaining about how nobody with 6 kids could live as well as the Brady Bunch, "My family only has 2 kids and our house isn't that big and we don't go on fancy vacations...." was, for some reason, never printed!

September Eleventh

September 11th was a terrible tragedy.
we lost so many lives in this attack,
but we have never really lost anyone,
we actually gained thousand of angles.
we all could hope that we could turn
this fearful time back, but we can't.
we all have to gatrher together.
we all should pratice peace and love forever.
we here so much discrimintion.
we should hear love within our nation,
do you really want to live in hate or
would you rather live in harmony?
as so many people died.
America sat back and cried.
instead of thinking ourselves,
think about the people who tried to
save all those lives on the planes,
think about the kids who came home from
school and their families werent ther.
think about were we would be if we have
started a war, where would you be, where?
just stop and think and you will be aware.

Many times. And, yes, they were published. I think only one wasn't. The majority had to do with animals, fighting the mayor of town over the dog pound, and antiquated laws concerning people living together without marriage and homosexuality.
BTW, I am pro animal, pro living together, pro gay rights.

I only write about public school science education and every one has been published. Refuting creationists is a full time job.

Yes. And they photographed me, and re-use the damn thing ad nauseam.
I advise you not to allow them to publish a photograph. Everyone sees it!
