is y=4x to the 4th power a parobala or just a curved line? or neither? Please answer quickly thank you in advance!

It is a parabola.
An equation with just X^2 is a parabola
4X^2 is a skinnier looking parabola

Julie is right, a skinnier parabola; to be quick, she just left off the exponent 4 instead of 2.
best way to solve these types of questions is to plot 4 or 5 points on an x,y graph, okay?
-2, -1, 0, 1, 2 for x values
your mind's eye will start seeing that the y values would be always positive, in this case, and that the values get much larger when going from x^2 to x^4

y = 4x^4 is a fourth degree equation and hence is not a parabola which is a second degree equation.
