I normally would not spend more that $20 on a Secret Santa gift. One way that you can find out what to get is ask people that know the person you are giving the gift to. Example: friends or co-workers that know this person well

When I purchased items for the Secret Santa Gift Exchange we had a $5.00 limit. Many gifts were homemade, ornaments for the tree, or a craftmade item like necklace or earrings. I was working at an elementary school at the time, and really enjoyed the Secret Santa Fun. You could also make a batch of Choc Chip cookies....and that would be a delicious gift for male or female. Packaging it very nicely makes the gift special too.

Gift cards are very inpersonal and bland; but they still make a good gift if you get one for the right store. Depending on where you work, you can guess the tastes to the person you're buying for and adjust according.
As to actual gifts...well, take a look for yourself. This place has a LOT of cool stuff. Much of it is under $10. Have fun!

You can give them a nice decorative big fragance candle ($10-15) or if they drink coffee a some a small gourmet coffee inside a cup with a ribblon, or your can give them things like a nice desk calendar. I hope that helps.

You can get a Christmas mug at Walgreens or the Dollar Store for $1 and fill it with candy and/or goodies.

Go to big lots, they have lots of cool things for cheap. Buy a cocoa and mug set or something like that. Good luck!

Get the something nice for their desk. Like a picture frame, pen holder, paper weight. Something that fits their personality.
